Charlotte Tilbury has worked in the fashion and make-up industry for over 20 years. With her mother and father both having creative professions, it was only right that she wanted to follow in their footsteps. After meeting global make-up artist Mary Greenwell whilst living in Ibiza, Charlotte Tilbury was inspired and went on to study at the Glauca Rossi School of make-up.

The other day I hinted to my mam that I had ran out of foundation, she replied by handing me a little bottle of Charlotte Tilbury make-up. It was meant to be a Christmas present, but my mam just couldn't resist! She has the same foundation and told me how good it was. I had also heard great things about Charlotte Tilbury make-up online and from friends, so I was excited to try it out.

Charlotte worked with laboratories for five years to create the Magic Foundation. Her ideology was to create something that was light with full coverage to tackle acne and discoloration. One thing I'm quite self conscious of is how red my complexion can be, so I always look for full coverage.

The next morning I applied the foundation after moisturising and I was surprised to discover that a little bit definitely goes a long way. The foundation also looked pale in the bottle, but when applied it gives skin a healthy glow which is flawless with a dewy finish. Finished off with some blush and highlighter, I was ready to face the day in the wind and rain. I always look for how long the foundation lasts when I wear it. I normally find that during the day depending on the weather, it tends to wear off. However, I was beyond impressed that when got back in the evening, the foundation was still in tact and looked flawless.

The clue is in the name, it really is magic!

My make-up look using Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation.

I have read other reviews which says the foundation doesn't work for them. I suppose it depends on your skin type but I'm finding that it really suits my skin.

The Magic Foundation by Charlotte Tilbury retails at £29.50. Shop her full make-up collection here: http://www.charlottetilbury.com/uk/
