What Lysha Loves

I'm Alysha an 18 year old Fashion Journalism student from Sunderland. As you may be able to see from looking at my blog, I'm OBSESSED with vintage clothes, especially from the 1960's. I first started Beatles&Beehives around one and half years ago now, with the intention to share my love for vintage and also to share my writing. I want to go into the fashion industry, particularly fashion writing and styling. The best way I thought to get a head start on this was to start up my own blog! I've always loved writing, my nana told me that when I was little I would sit and write my own stories with my own happy endings. I always knew I wanted to write, just as much as I knew I wanted to go into fashion.



My biggest inspiration was always Carrie Bradshaw! I watched Sex and the City and saw how she would sit writing on her laptop for hours looking outside the window of her New York apartment. She always had the latest pair of Manolo Blahnik shoes too, I just fell in love and knew then I wanted a career like her.

I'm a lot more into vintage clothing than I am high street, although I do like to mix and match occasionally. I have so many style icons from the 50's and 60's, but my modern day style icon is Dawn O'Porter, (you might be able to tell by my hair).
