CILLA: An icon
01:49Like most I was so shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of Cilla Black. I've got to say what a remarkable woman she was, spending fifty years in television! As a lover of the sixties, Cilla was a style icon for me and I know she was for many other vintage loving ladies. With this I thought I would pay my own little tribute to Cilla by showing some of my favourite looks that she is pictured in. RIP Cilla x
This is the famous dress which Cilla wore on the cover of her fourth album 'Surround Yourself With Cilla.' One word...LEGS. Automatically the short hemline of this dress complimented Cilla's pins perfectly. I love the fit of this dress, fitted at the top and flirty and feminine on the bottom. Not to mention the beautiful psychedelic pattern, a true statement feature of a sixties dress. The colours and the style just make this dress fun, not to mention how flattering it is. This is definitely one of my favourite Cilla looks!
A simple but classic combo of a fitted shift dress with a scarf to accessorize. Also, I can't stop looking at her hair! Her bob is definitely a hairspo. This is such a timeless look, and again a statement sixties outfit.
Cilla's red velvet dress is my ultimate favourite, am I the only one who thinks it looks so comfy? This just expresses Cilla's unique style, even her white wedding dress was a mini, something so different to any other sixties weddings I have seen pictures of. Combined with white tights and lots of pretty flowers, this dress is just beautiful.
