What Lysha Loves

This is my daily make-up, I'm quite basic when it comes to putting my face on, it's only the other week I discovered this MUA Palette and started experimenting with colour! I love make-up, especially bright lipsticks. My Pinterest is full of inspiration. I tend to switch foundations but at the moment I'm using Maxfactor Facefinity. I find it gives the best coverage, because it contains a primer and concealer,  making it last all day. I use Ivory because I like a pale base, but there's a variety of darker and lighter shades. Then I do my eyebrows, when I had my make-up done for prom the lady used this MUA Pro-Brow compact. She said most make-up artists use it, and it's very similar to Benefit Browzings but it's much cheaper! I also find powder is much better than using eyebrow pencils because it doesn't have the thickness of a pencil, and it's much easier to apply. I then use NARS blusher in Orgasm. It adds shimmer as well as a lovely pink colour to my cheeks and I find I don't have to apply it very much through the day. My eye make-up routine is my favourite, although you know the feeling when your eyeliner goes amazing on one eye then a bit Pete Tong on the other, right? I bought ELLE recently which gave me a sample of the Benefit They're Real! Push up liner. It's a gel which stays on a lot better, and I find I can do better cat eyes with this rather than a liquid. I might buy one when I run out, might. 

My mascara is Rimmel and has lasted me a good few months, it adds amazing length to my lashes, I've stopped wearing false lashes now! As for lips, I bought this Topshop lipstick in Nevada, which goes on a lovely peachy colour. I was told before that it was perfect for creating a Brigitte Bardot look, however I'm a redhead so I doubt that would work on me! It's quite thin so you have to go over a few times before you get a solid colour, but it's so silky! 

What's your make-up routine? 

 

 Today I'm wearing a baby pink vintage St Micheal jumper with a light grey St Micheal vintage pencil skirt, finished with a beehive. This is one of my favourite looks, really feminine and sharp! It's coming into spring time so instead of hiding behind dark colours, I decided to start looking a bit brighter. Both of these items I got in a charity shop, and cost me a grand total of about £7! It's really amazing what you can find, and being a lover of vintage and Mod clothing, I'm always trying to find something original and cool.

Jasmin & Bergamote Perfumed Body Milk (£16) from L'Occitane En Provence

I got this in a gift set for my birthday and it really does work wonders. I always go for body milk and body butter which soaks into the skin quickly, like most girls, I've had my fair share of body butters which just sit there for hours not doing anything. With it's light spring perfume and quick absorbing, the body milk leaves skin feeling and smelling devine. L'Occitane is quite pricey, but it's totally worth it for the outcome. When I'm finished with this sample i'll probably try and find something similar, £16 is quite a lot for body milk! The fragrance is so fresh and really reminds you of spring, highly recommended!

 

Matte lip-stick in Ruby Woo (£15) from Mac Cosmetics

This is by far THE BEST lipstick I have ever used. I've got to admit I was quite unsure at first with it being matte as I thought it might be too dry, but it's amazing. The colour is so bright and it stays on for hours before you have to re-apply. It's always in my handbag!
